Mental Health Program supports a dedicated Mental Health Case Manager with a caseload of up to 15 clients at a time suffering from severe and persistent mental illness such as schizophrenia and
borderline personality disorder.
The Case Manager's expertise in
crisis management, de-escalation,
on-site therapy intervention,
peer support advocacy, medication management and proper
housing placement will support
improving outcomes.
Without treatment, the effects of mental illness on individuals and society at large are distressing. Unaddressed mental health conditions can result in unemployment, loss of income, manic episodes, increased hospital stays, unnecessary disability, increased substance abuse, incarceration, deteriorating quality of life, increased harm to self and others and suicide.
