Rotating Shelter
Why is Rotating Shelter Important?
Rotating Shelter is a way for faith-based, social, and civic organizations to get involved by providing a comfortable space for men experiencing homelessness during the cold months. Host sites provide shelter, food, warmth and other indoor activities for the men during their stay. The host sites receive on and off site support from the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County's Rotation Coordinators.
What is the Impact?

Rotating Shelter is an integral part of ensuring the men experiencing homelessness are able to stay focused on working towards employment, sobriety or just having a good nights sleep. By partnering with faith-based, civic, and social organizations in our community, we are able to serve an additional 90 men between the Rotating Shelter and our Warming Center programs every day.
Client Testimonials

"By being in a church atmosphere, it helped me to become closer to God. One church impacted me in particular. It helped me get away from alcohol and negative behaviors so I could focus on what I need to focus on. Rotation is a gift."-Arthur C

"It helped me out a lot. I got a room upstairs at the Delonis and now I'm getting an apartment. If it wasn't for Rotating Shelter I would have been camping again because I didn't want to be in Warming Center. I probably would not be where I am now."- Daniel D

“I have three words to say, I loved it."
-Quincy B
